This is a multimedia site please wait for pages to load.

If you have a copy of your Shotgun detachment orders PLEASE email a copy to help in listing Shotgunners in the Roster

NOTE: Due to the nature of this part of the site the pages will load slowly.  I could make it load faster by making the pictures of their names smaller, but the memory of these names is HUGE.  We should see their names and never forget them.

Memorials to our honored brothers

In Memoriam

Every one knows who the first was at just about every occurrence in our history.

But few know of a small group, the 25th Infantry Division Shot Gunners.

Few know that they were the first Combat Soldiers sent to Vietnam as actual combatants  covertly under the umbrella of the Military Assistance Command Vietnam (MACV)

Here we honor those who did not return and those Helicopter Crew Members who passed after returning.

We also honor those Door Gunners, Crew Chiefs/Door Gunners and Pilots in Aviation Units that followed.

TAPS

Day is done, gone the sun,
From the hills, from the lake,
From the sky.
All is well, safely rest,
God is nigh.

Fades the light; And afar
Goeth day, And the stars
Shineth bright,
Fare thee well; Day has gone,
Night is on.

Thanks and praise, For our days,
'Neath the sun, Neath the stars,
'Neath the sky,
As we go, This we know,
God is nigh.
