This photo was taken at Tan Son Nhut, and that's our Shotgun platoon leader Lt. Beckett standing, and the other guy is Sgt. Peters, one of our squad leaders. It was SOP that we test fire our weapons into this pit before going out on a mission. You'll notice that we were still using the old M-1918 Browning 30 cal. air cooled machine gun. Mel
